Description

REVERSE COUNTERSINK
Used in conjunction with our reverse mandrels (sold separately), these cutters will machine the back of a hole that has limited access.
Exceptional in aircraft components with ribs or spars.
Internal bore with slot on end to accommodate reverse mandrel (sold separately).

Material: Hardened high speed steel.
Countersink outer diameter: Specified when ordering
Bore diameter: Specified when ordering (to allow for a reverse mandrel, sold separately)

How to use a reverse countersink cutter:
1. The reverse mandrel (sold separately) is located into the bore of the job.
2. The cutter is aligned onto the end of the mandrel with the cutting edges facing the job (on the far side of the component), ensuring a good locating fit in the slot of the cutter.
3. The mandrel is rotated (either by hand or machine) in the correct orientation, whilst pulling the mandrel towards yourself.
4. Remove cutter and voila!
